On Thursday 6th July 2023, pupils from Holbeach Primary Academy, Holbeach Bank Academy and William Stukeley C of E Primary School visited the Poppy Factory in Richmond, Surrey.   We are delighted to be invited by Mr Sheppard, the Chairman of the Holbeach Branch of the Royal British Legion, to the Poppy Factory in Richmond, Surry. HPA – Year5 Taster Day

2023-07-18T07:59:06+00:00

The Year 5 children from both Holbeach Primary and Holbeach Bank academies enjoyed a ‘Taster Day’ at UAH. They were able to experience learning in the secondary environment. They found out in History about how Kings in the past have died, explored leaf cells under a microscope, created Art in the style of Pop Art and created a music performance. They had a packed day which gave them a real insight into UAH.

GHA – Sports Afternoon

2023-07-17T14:28:08+00:00

GHA Sports Afternoons GHA children, families and staff joined in with hurdles, tennis,  egg and spoon races, sack races and sensory circuit activities during our Sports Afternoons in July. During the afternoons, children from classes not involved with the sports sold refreshments in the form of ice lollies that they had made during their cooking sessions. They will use the money raised to buy theme-related resources of their choice, for their classrooms. Thank you everyone who attended and took part - we are very happy that we managed three Sports Afternoons without any rain!

Our second day saw us explore the interactive Lava Centre to explore the science behind the forces that shaped the landscape. The afternoon was spent exploring Reynisfjara Beach (Black Sand Beach) and the town of Vik. This was a fantastic [...]

On Tuesday 28th March, UALS departed for Paris. The trip is part of our ambition to offer all learners a residential opportunity whilst at the Academy.   On the first full day in Paris pupils visited the Tour Maine-Montparnasse, also commonly named Tour Montparnasse, a 210-metre office skyscraper located in the Montparnasse area of Paris, France. Constructed from 1969 to 1973, it was the tallest skyscraper in France until 2011, when it was surpassed by the 231-metre Tour First. After lunch in the Jardin du Luxembourg pupils visited the Notre Dame, before finishing the day with a visit to the Eiffel [...]
